LUXURY SUITES & FUN BY THE RIVER!
Riverbend Retreat is a fully renovated 1919 bungalow farmstead surrounded by the Embarras (Embraw) river valley, pasture and farmland. The house is divided into two suites, one on each floor. It features original wood floors on the first floor, mission light fixtures and furniture, and free use of the washer/dryer and foosball table in the basement. Outside features include picnic tables, a grill, two campfire circles, outdoor lighting (60 amber bulbs) and a riverfront lawn.
The first floor suite has two bedrooms with queen beds and televisions. The bathroom off the Mica Room has a shower with seat and the Imperial heated air massage corner tub (guests even donned their swimsuits and used it as a spa). The West End Room's bathroom has a shower and a standard size heated air massage tub. This suite has a living room with HDTV, leather sleeper sofa and love seat and a dining room. The kitchen has a dishwasher, a fridge with ice maker, a microwave and a range.
The second floor suite consists of the Sky Room with a king bed and TV, the Elf Room with a twin daybed and a twin on a trundle, a bathroom with a shower and a two person heated air massage tub (6' long rectangular), a kitchen with a refrigerator/freezer, range and microwave and a living room with a TV, sleeper sofa and a dining table.
A mission-style trellis surrounds the picnic tables out back. If rain visits your picnic, bring it inside to the tables in the finished farm-themed basement. After dinner, relax by the campfire (there is one in the backyard and another above the river), fish (see the "Things to Do" page for some tips) or just sit and watch the river roll around the bend. We also offer campsites for $15 to use in conjunction with your group's suite rental. You can plug your RV in and park right next to the picnic area.
Wedding, reunion or other big get together coming up? Put up the family at Riverbend Retreat, cook some of your own meals and have a great time! Also a great place for leadership or study group retreats! If you are working in the area, we offer a discounted rate for stays of 7 or more days in a 30 day period.
