Riverbend Retreat is less than 5 miles from I-57 and Tanger Outlet Center in Tuscola, Illinois. The
Embarras (Embraw) River runs through the property which includes farmland, pasture, a riverfront lawn and the retreat that looks over it all!
The 1919 bungalow farmstead was renovated in the Craftsman-style and features mission light fixtures and furniture, framed 1930's-1950's magazine art from the farm's collectiona and free use of the washer/dryer and foosball table in the basement.
The first floor suite has two bedrooms with queen beds and TV's. The bathroom off the Mica Room has a shower with a seat and the Imperial heated air massage corner tub (guests have been known to bring their swimsuits and use it as a spa). The West End Room's bathroom has a shower and a standard size heated air massage tub. This suite has a living room with HDTV, leather sleeper sofa and love seat and a dining room. The kitchen has a dishwasher, a fridge with ice maker, a microwave and a range.
The second floor suite has the Sky Room with a king bed and TV and the Elf Room with a twin daybed and a twin on a trundle. This suite has one bathroom with a shower and a two person heated air massage tub (6' long rectangular), a kitchen with a refrigerator/freezer, range and microwave and a living room with a TV, sleeper sofa and a dining table.
A mission-style trellis surrounds the picnic tables out back. If rain visits your picnic, bring it all inside to the tables in the finished farm-themed basement. After dinner, relax by the campfire (there is one in the backyard and another above the river), fish (see the "Things to Do" page for some tips) or just sit and watch the river roll around the bend. We also offer campsites for $25 to use in conjunction with your group's suite rental. Camping is so much nicer with access to heated air massage tubs and full size showers!) You can plug your RV in and park right next to the picnic area.
Wedding, reunion or other big get together coming up? Put up the family at Riverbend Retreat, cook some of your own meals and have a great time!
